The UMW is a community of women whose purpose is to know GOD and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expend concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. This purpose includes Missions for Women, Children, and the Poor, at home and around the world.
Everyone is Welcome. You do not have to be a member of the Methodist Church to be a UMW member. Our meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at Christ United Methodist Church. Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
The United Methodist Women have resumed their meetings on the second Wednesday of the month. This year, we are trying something new -- rather than meeting in January and February, we will be meeting in July and August. All women are invited and encouraged to attend our meetings.
Green Thumb Gardening Project - the UMW is helping out Jackson Area Ministries in Appalachian Ohio again this year. We will be collecting vegetable seeds or cash. This ministry has been in existence for 45 years now and covers over 19 counties in Ohio. If you choose to give cash please give to a UMW member with your check payable to United Methodist Women. Deadline to donate is April 15. There is a box located in the fellowship hall for your seeds.

The United Methodist Women are again collecting items for the Baby, Health and School Kits for the 2012 Festival of Sharing. Each kit contains the following:
