Plethora of P's for Powerful Presentations |

PLAN your subject wisely
- Make sure you have "earned the right" to speak about your subject (Dale Carnegie)
- Only speak about things you feel
strongly about/things you want to defend under pressure
PREPARE your talk
- Begin early enough so your subconscious can be working on you presentation
- Limit subject to 1 point for each 5 minutes
- Gather additional information (10 to 100 times more than you think you need)
- Choose a note style (outline, note cards, memorization)
POLISH your presentation
- Use stories and examples with details
- Cite relevant quotes or facts
- Gear your presentation to your
audience and get them involved
PRACTICE your delivery
- Worst: written out, read in "speech voice"
- Better: Stretch, Magnify, Push the envelope
PRESENT confidently
- Since you are prepared, you know you are delivering a first class speech
- You have done the work, so enjoy the butterflies, they will only help you do better
"Discover you own unique mission and gifts, present material which is thoroughly edifying,
inspiring, and practical, and do it with high energy" - Stephen Covey
