10:50-11:15 Table Topics Master
Introduces topic for extemporaneous speeches and invites members to deliver 1-2 minute speeches
11:15 General Evaluator 
Calls for reports from timer, grammarian/ah counter, and speech evaluators
11:28 Inspirational closing speaker
Presents an inspiring story or thought
11:30 Meeting adjourns

Meeting Roles*
Toastmaster
  • Runs the meeting and insures time lines are met

Speakers
  • Normally deliver 5-7 or 7-10 minute prepared speeches

Table Topics Master
  • Presents a series of related topics for club members to speak on extemporaneously

Table Topic Speakers
  • Each speaks extemporaneously on a topic that he/she is given

Inspirational Speaker
  • Delivers a short inspirational story or thought

General Evaluator
  • Calls for speech evaluations, timing report, grammarian's report and presents an evaluation of the meeting

Speech Evaluators
  • Constructively evaluate each speech

Ah counter/grammarian
  • Keeps track of filler words and grammatical errors

Timer
  • Helps speakers stay within their allotted times

*Meeting roles rotate each meeting.

  A few times each year meetings consist entirely of speaking contests or training sessions.

  We emphasize cooperation, teamwork, and mutual support  -  and having fun.
  Dues are $30 for 6 months (includes subscription to monthly Toastmaster magazine).
