Batopilas is a pretty little town. We stayed here two nights. Batopilas was founded in 1709 when silver was discovered in the region. It is not a mining town any longer. These shots of November flowers will have to take the place of silver. |

A bunch of Utah Trailriders were already in Batopilas when we arrived. They had brought hundreds of balloons to give away to the kids. The party started at sunset. Somehow our Tom (left) became an official balloon tier-upper. The taller girl on the right loved to have her picture taken. She got Kathleen to take her picture one more time by claiming that the other girl (whom she had dragged over) had not had her picture taken yet. |
