Lunch at Gourdon

We didn't really travel our first full day in France; we just rode around. Here we are having lunch in the picturesque village of Gourdon. That's Kathleen, Robert, and I at the first table. The Mediterranean is way off in the background.

Checking the luggage south of Mons

Our first travelling day. We are a bit south of the village of Mons. There's supposed to be a Roman aqueduct somewhere around here, but we couldn't find it. Perhaps we couldn't recognize it.

Castle on the hill - Trigance

Outside of Trigance. We didn't plan to be here; we took a wrong turn. I guess the village belongs to the castle on the hill.

BTW, that's Kathleen and the bike under the arrow. She's waving at us, if you can make it out.

Notre Dame du Roc

Notre Dame du Roc is a church on a rock. I have no idea how humans climb up to the church. Presumably God has no trouble climbing down.

This church lies half way between the first "n" in "Valbonne" and the "D" of "Digne" on the map.
