Eastern Trip 2006 – Vermont
| The ostensible purpose of my trip was to attend the national BMWMOA (BMW Motorcycle Owners of America) rally at Essex Junction, Vermont. Over 9,000 motorcyclists came to the rally. This is rally headquarters. |

I decided to skip the rally for the most part. I figured I’d rather ride.
I particularly wanted to ride over some Vermont “gaps.”
Gaps are Green Mountain passes. This is Lincoln Gap road. Some parts of this road are very steep. Some parts are gravel or dirt. The steepest parts are paved. |
|
| After Lincoln Gap I rode over Middlebury Gap. I took South Lincoln Road to get there. This is where I am now, somewhere on South Lincoln Road. |
|
| Vermont is not all rain forest, as the above pictures might suggest. This is a more typical rural scene. |
