Eastern Trip 2006 – Scot
| This is the end of my eastern trip: Scot Dykema crossing Palmerston Lake. |
| Scot and I go way back. Here we are at our graduation from Riverside School in 1949. From left to right: John Sinclair, Thane Norton (I go by Vic now), Scot Dykema, Craig Fanning, Kent Bloomer. |
| To get to Scot’s place you start at this general store. It’s right on route 509 at the southern-most end of Palmerston Lake in Ompah, Ontario. Just call Scot from here. He’ll pick you up at the marina behind the store. |
| This is the house (or cabin) that Scot built. It's about two miles up the lake from the marina. The original cabin, which Scot’s father built in the 1930s, is a few yards further up the lake. |
