Eastern Trip 2006 – Bridges

Vermont covered bridges. There are lots of them.

Most of the bridges come with signs. Most of the bridges I saw were built by The Jewett Brothers in the latter half of the nineteenth century.

This is the Comstock Bridge in Montgomery, VT. There are two other covered bridges in this little town.

When I stopped to photograph the Comstock Bridge, a guy and his three dogs came walking through the bridge.

It turns out this was Duane Jewett. His great grandfather built these bridges.
