profit from the food we sell. Right now we have 1 parent who has offered to help

this, please email or phone me, Donna Laird, by June 21st so we can get organized.

4th of July Antique Car Show in Portage
We have the opportunity to sell raffle tickets at the July 4th antique car show in
Portage. We need someone to sell tickets from 11:00am - 1:00pm and 1:00pm - 3:00pm.
Please contact Denise Kisabeth at 354-0804 if you are able to help out with this.
Any tickets sold go on your trip band account.
Volunteers Needed
We've had a good number of people volunteer to help sell raffle tickets over the
summer but we need some adult volunteers to help supervise some of these opportunities.
I hope a number of you will be willing to give some time to this. If you would be
willing and able to coordinate a particular day, please contact Donna Laird (see below.)
The following are needed:
2 Adults for June 26-27: In addition to selling raffle tickets for the
Plane Show at the Wood County Airport June 26-27, the band has also been given permission
to sell food items (such as popcorn or bagged snacks.) We need one or two adults who
would be willing to coordinate this if we do it. So, is there anyone interested? If
you are, please email or phone me by this Saturday, June 19th. If there are no
volunteers then we will only sell raffle tickets.
1 or 2 Adults for July 4th: The Portage Parade and Antique Car Show,
coordinate and supervise selling raffle tickets for the car.
1-2 Adults for Sunday, August 1st: Thayer hosts a Corvette Show this day
and has invited the band to sell lunch and snack items during the show in their showroom.
We keep all the proceeds of our sales. We can also sell raffle tickets that day. We
have one adult already working on this but need at least 1 or 2 more to help prepare for
and supervise the project.
Thanks,
Donna Laird

Car Raffle Ticket Sales Opportunities |
Dear Band Families,
We have arranged with some locations around town to set up a table to sell
tickets. So far, our experience suggests that the best plan is for one family
to sign up to staff a table for a day--a 3 to 4 hour shift (can be longer if
you have the interest and stamina).
We will have a table at the mall (Woodland Towne Centre) every Saturday
afternoon and evening for the rest of the summer. Please contact Lynne Hewitt
(lynnehewitt@yahoo.com) if your
family is interested in one or more Saturdays. Times can be flexible.
Possibility exists for two shifts.
Ben Franklin is allowing us to set up a table on the sidewalk outside.
Obviously, this one is weather permitting--the first day will be this Friday,
June 11, from 5 to 8 p.m.. Please contact Lynne at the above e-mail if you
are interested in this shift.
We will be setting up more times at Wal-mart, probably on Sunday afternoons.
Other opportunities may arise. If you would be interested in being on an
e-mail list to be contacted as opportunities arise, please forward your name
and e-mail to Lynne Hewitt, and I'll contact you when volunteers are needed.
Note: the students in your family will get credit for the tickets sold. You
do not need to pay in advance for these tickets--we provide them. We provide
instructions, change, and a cash box. For locations other than the mall, we
provide a card table and chairs.
If you know of any community locations that might be willing to let us set up
a table to sell tickets, please contact Lynne. (So far Kroger's, Meijers, Home
Depot, and the Zoo have all said no.) The mall has been wonderful to work
with--please patronize them if you can!

Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:30p and on Saturday mornings 10a - 11a at

If these times conflict with your schedule, please call Denise @
