Band Banquet Help Needed
UPDATE ON END OF YEAR BANQUET PLANNING...
We are looking for a parent to do the power point presentation for the
band banquet that highlights what has happened this year. We can show
you a couple of past presentations if you are curious what they look
like.
We will get people to donate pictures, so you don't have to have them
yourself. If you would be willing to put this presentation together,
please contact Denise Kisabeth as soon as possible at 419-354-0804 or

BGHS Band News - Chocolate Sale and More |
Worlds Finest Chocolate Sale
This year Bowling Green High School Band will be participating in selling World's Finest
Chocolate Bars. With your permission, your child will receive a box of candy to sell
containing 50 bars selling at $1.25 a bar. Each bar contains a $2 off Pizza Hut coupon.
The box will contain a variety of bars. Students will earn 50% profit for each bar sold.
The money (profit) will be credited to individual student trip accounts at the end of the sale.
If you would like your child to participate, you must sign the permission slip (see link below)
and return it to school by Wednesday, March 12, 2008. If your child takes a box of candy home,
they will need to sell all 50 bars, as it is not returnable.
The sale begins on March 24, 2008 and will end on April 7, 2008. All monies will be due on
Tuesday, April 8, 2008. If you need more candy before the sale ends, just turn in the money from
the first box and you will be given another box (unless you indicate you do not want another box).
Please give us an estimate of how many boxes you think your child can sell. We will use this
estimate to know how many boxes we need to order for the fundraiser.

Band Banquet Planning Meeting
At our next band banquet meeting on Monday, March 17th @ 7pm, we will be doing crafts! Please
come and help cut and paste...
As we are in the process of preparing for the Annual Band Banquet, we need volunteers to assist
with various pieces. Below is a list of jobs for which we need volunteers. Please take a look
and send an email to Denise Kisabeth [dkisabeth@wbgu.bgsu.edu] or call [419-354-0804] if you can
do one or more of the items listed.
Donate 40 of one of the following items:
Small tootsie rolls, Lifesaver candy, Sweet & sour candy,
Sucker, Carefree gum, Small lollipop, Small pencil,
Rubber band, Marbles, Band-aid, Small jewel, Mint,
Bubble gum, Smartie, Crayon, Puzzle piece,
Happy face sticker
Be responsible for order/purchase of plastic table coverings
Act as host(s) at beginning of banquet and during serving of food. Looking for
8 people to greet beginning at 5:30pm. Show them where to sit, where to put their
food, etc.
Someone to take care of ordering pizza for jazz band and to make sure they have
drinks and napkins, etc.
Two people to decorate outside of auditorium between two entrance doors
Someone to pick up flowers at Klotz Flower Farm that are given to seniors and band
directors. These flowers are picked up the afternoon of the banquet.
Approximately 20 people to help set up the auditorium beginning at 2:30pm on Tuesday, May 6th.
Approximately 20 people to help tear down after the banquet. This includes the
senior tables, pipe and draping, etc. This takes approximately one hour after the
banquet is finished.
Newsletter Mailing List
The Bobcat Band newsletter (Band Notes) is no longer being published
in hardcopy format and sent regular mail. The newsletter will, however,
continue to be published on the web site and sent out via email. To
receive an email copy of the newsletter it is important that we have
your current email address on file.
